EPB

EPB stands for Energy Performance and Indoor Climate, and relates to all a home’s properties that affect energy consumption: insulation, airtightness, ventilation, heating, solar panels and the quality of the indoor climate. Energy performance legislation (EPB) came into effect in Flanders on 1 January 2006. The primary objective of the legislation is to improve the energy performance of buildings in Flanders. All projects which require planning permission (new building and renovation) must meet a certain level of insulation.
