Ventilation report

Under EPB legislation, new homes and major energy renovations require a kick-off declaration (EPB-startverklaring) stating when work will begin, who is appointed as reporter, and must also include a preliminary ventilation design. The preliminary ventilation design is a plan indicating all ventilation components. It shows the location of the ventilation system, and a visual proposal of the routing of the ventilation ducts along with a specification of their diameters. Supply, flow and discharge are also visually represented, along with the flow rates.

Upon completion of the ventilation installation, you have to have a ventilation performance report drawn up by an accredited ventilation reporter, which checks whether your ventilation installation meets the requirements in the draft design. This report must be submitted to the EPB reporter, who needs it to draw up the EPB declaration.
