ADR

ADR stands for “Accord européen relatif au transports international des machandises Dangereuses par Route” (European Convention on the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road). The ADR defines what dangerous goods are, how they are classified, how they can be identified, the packaging, tank and vehicle requirements, the transport conditions, and the obligations of all those involved.

Any company transporting dangerous goods by rail, road or inland waterway, or which carries out loading, unloading, filling, or packaging operations, including transhipment from road, rail or inland waterway transport to another mode of transport or vice versa, must have a safety adviser. Envicas’s safety advisers are accredited for all classes (1 through 9), and authorised external safety advisers.
